Following the recent #BlackLivesMatter movement, we at MarTech Alliance have launched our Martech Diversity Scholarship.
The movement has made us both as a company and as individuals take a step back and reflect, to listen, to try and better educate ourselves on the challenges faced. And then ask what we can do to support positive change.
#BlackLivesMatter calls out not only for justice, but for equal opportunities. We understand that there is no quick fix for what is going on around the world, and no one person, company or community can offer a single solution to this deeply disturbing issue. We must all play our part to make a change.
Specifically, in the marketing and tech industry black professionals are widely underrepresented in senior management roles. By launching our Martech Diversity Scholarship, we aim to support the career progression of black professionals. We hope that where a training or event budget isn't made available to a black marketer or technologist that we can help bridge that gap.

Yes, the world’s awakening should have come much sooner, but it’s not too late to make a change. Black lives still matter, even when the hashtag isn’t trending.
We know there is a long way to go, but hopefully our scholarship can help make some positive impact.
